KEY PROMOTERS

Hills & Associates is comprised of two partners and their supporting staff and accountants.

Hillary Mukebezi,

(Managing Partner -Quality Assurance and Review)

Has gained considerable professional experience in Statutory Auditing, Corporate Financial Accounting, and Management Accounting for over 15 years. Mr. Hillary Mukebezi has been involved in designing and implementing manual and computerized and assisting firsttime users of computerized systems. As an internal Auditor at Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education, he established and set up a whole internal audit department.

Qualification: Bachelors of Business Computing (BBC) Certified Public Accountant (CPA [U]) Other trainings Forensic Examiner, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Quick Books, and Sage Accounting packages

Nantumbwe Anne

(Partner Taxation)

she has over (19) years’ experience in accountancy and audit mainly in the private sector, having worked as Audit trainee, wise & Partners CPA, Audit Senior, springs & Associates CPA, Managing Partner, AJ & Associates, CPA she is responsible for Tax Planning,Computing and agreeing with the tax due with the clients’ Tax Authorities. Mediate for clients on all tax issues with Tax Authorities and attend tax audits.

Organizational Structure

The firm Partners with vast experience in Accounting and Auditing. It has three other division managers highly qualified with extensive experience in Commerce, Industry, and NGO environments.

The firm’s organizational set-up ensures that our business is commercially and financially viable, serving customer needs more effectively and efficiently.

Management Committee

The management committee is charged with supervising the day-to-day operations of the firm. It ensures that the goals and objectives of the firm, as set by the executive committee are being implemented. The management committee is composed of the two General Managers. These undertake the day-to-day operations of the firm, with assistance of the administrators.

Administration

Among the staff, there are a few who have been allocated administrative roles. This staff assist the management in day-to-day operations and they are indeed considered to be part of the management committee. These are the Financial Controller, the Secretary/Administrator and Quality Control Officer.

The Financial Controller is responsible for the firm’s finances and providing management with financial information needed for decision-making and control.

e Quality Controller is charged with preliminary review of the reports generated by the audits to ensure that they comply with the professional principals and the format, guidelines and framework for a standard report of the firm. He is also charged with proper keeping of the firm’s property and valuables such as the stamps and logo.

The Administrative Assistant/Secretary undertakes the secretarial activities and general administration of the firm. She receives incoming calls and undertakes general administrative tasks such as supervising the support staff (cleaner and office messengers) in the course of their work.
